We are looking for Web Designers with a deep understanding of visual hierarchy and information design concepts. As part of our team, you will apply design and development capabilities to implement new web features, optimize user flows, and support our development and marketing efforts to enable seamless online bookings and travel, all while staying true to our brand identity and user-centric approach.

GOFERRY is a leading online ferry booking system operating worldwide since 2007. Our team currently develops online ferry booking systems for end users and B2B applications.

The WEB DESIGNER position is full-time and permanent, based in Nea Makri, East Attica, Greece. The working model can be hybrid.

Responsibilities

● Closely interact with the marketing and product teams to analyze and understand requirements. Make simple but nice designs, considering its usage across multiple operating systems and devices.
● Create campaign creative deliverables and develop all company marketing requirements according to assigned creative briefs (including website banners, email newsletters)
Requirements
● Web Design Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in web design, with a strong background in crafting engaging and user-friendly digital experiences.
● Creative & Visual Proficiency: Demonstrated creative thinking and visual design skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to evolving content and align with the company’s overall aesthetic.
● Expertise in Vue & Related Technologies: Good knowledge of Vue.js as well as strong skills in TypeScript and JavaScript. Experience with Tailwind CSS is desired.
● Familiarity with Additional Frameworks: Working knowledge of Umbraco, Bootstrap, and jQuery to support both design and functional aspects of web development.
● Standards & Best Practices: Solid understanding of semantic HTML, modern CSS methodologies (including SCSS), and responsive design principles.
● Portfolio Requirement: A robust portfolio that highlights your design projects and demonstrates your ability to deliver visually appealing and functional web solutions.
● Work Concept: Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
● Languages: Very Good communication skills in both English and Greek

Nice to have

● Knowledge of Backend Frameworks (ASP.NET Core) ● Familiarity with web performance measurements (Core Web Vitals)
● Experience with modern Vue UI libraries like Radix Vue and Shadcn-Vue.
