Our Data Engineering Team as part of our Engineering, AI & Data service line in Thessaloniki operates in diverse teams, has a detail-oriented mindset and analytical thinking skills, understands and interpret business requirements and transform them into actionable data processes.
In your role in Deloitte, you will be focused on functional analysis and development of data management processes, while working with a progressively - increasing autonomy within multi-functional teams.
For a full coverage of your role, you ought to be able to:
- Design, build and maintain enterprise-grade reporting and analytics solutions for large-scale clients across Banking, Energy, Utilities and Public Sector
- Act as a bridge between data engineering, data modelling and business reporting
- Deliver high-quality, scalable and trusted insights in complex reporting environments
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
- Build and maintain semantic models (star/snowflake schemas, measures, hierarchies)
- Implement advanced DAX calculations, KPIs and business logic
- Collaborate with data engineers to consume data from modern data platforms (e.g. Azure, Databricks, Fabric)
- Ensure data quality, reconciliation and consistency across reports and data models
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into robust reporting solutions
- Optimize report performance, usability and scalability
- Support end-users and stakeholders with insights, documentation and best practices

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master’s degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or in similar technical-scientific disciplines (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Statistics)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in complex reporting environments
- Strong expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service, data models, DAX)
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles (fact/dimension modelling)
- Experience working with SQL and structured data sources
- Exposure to data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, pipelines, data lakes/warehouses)
- Experience working with large datasets and enterprise-scale reporting solutions
- Ability to work in multi-stakeholder, fast-paced consulting environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Data Platform (Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks, Fabric)
- Familiarity with regulatory or management reporting (e.g. Finance, Risk, Operations)
- Knowledge of version control (Git) and deployment best practices
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization in Power BI
- Consulting or client-facing experience
