As an AI Engineer III, you will be at the forefront of innovation—continuously scouting, testing, and assessing emerging AI technologies. Your work will enable rapid prototyping and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to evaluate technical feasibility and business impact. Acting as “customer zero,” you will help de-risk opportunities before major investment and maintain competitive intelligence through strategic ecosystem partnerships. This role is critical in shaping enterprise AI capabilities that drive transformative outcomes.
Exploration & Innovation
- Continuously research and evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and tools.
- Lead rapid prototyping and PoCs to validate technical and business value.
- Serve as an early adopter and internal champion for new AI capabilities.
Design & Development
- Develop and maintain AI engineering components, pipelines, and reusable frameworks supporting enterprise use cases.
- Implement and optimize solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, and multi-agent workflows.
- Build APIs, services, and interfaces connecting AI models with enterprise applications.
Collaboration & Integration
- Partner with data scientists, solution designers, and software engineers to translate prototypes into production-grade implementations.
- Contribute to cross-pillar work across Applied AI Engineering’s different teams to ensure cohesive, high-quality delivery.
- Participate in technical design reviews and support integration with internal platforms and enterprise systems.
Quality & Standards
- Follow and contribute to Applied AI Engineering (A2E) standards, coding best practices, and documentation protocols.
- Support evaluation, testing, and monitoring to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance of deployed AI solutions.
- Document components, patterns, and processes to facilitate reuse and knowledge transfer.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in AI, ML, or software engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern frameworks such as LangChain, AI Foundry or similar AI toolkits.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and MLOps/LLMOps tools.
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, APIs, vector databases, and model deployment.
- Proven ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Pharmaceutical/healthcare industry or consulting experience, along with strong project management skills strongly preferred.
- Expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models and adjacent technologies.
- Proven track record of developing and delivering AI-driven PoCs and MVPs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
