Our Tax Technology and Consulting team is looking to recruit dynamic and highly experienced professionals to join us as Senior engineers in the positions of MS SQL Engineer and Database Administrator.

 

As a member of the Tax Technology Consulting team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining in-house products with complex SQL procedures and manage SQL database administration tasks, including implementing Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), partitioning, and backup strategies, primarily supporting for Tax and Finance departments of our clients in the Middle East market.

 

 

• SQL Development: Lead the design, development, and optimization of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions, service brokers, schedules to support business requirements.
• Database Design & Optimization: Architect and optimize database schemas for performance, scalability, and data integrity.
• Performance Tuning: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query optimization, indexing strategies, and database tuning.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver efficient database solutions.

• Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server instances and related products. Implement backup strategy, HA,
• DR Site & high availability setup: configure and maintain databases for high availability and DR site.
• TDE Implementation: Implement Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) for SQL Server databases to secure data at rest. Encryption using MS inbuilt TDE or third-party encryption solutions.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure efficient operations.
• Security Management: Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures to safeguard data integrity.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution to ensure minimal downtime.

• 4+ years of hands-on professional experience as a MS SQL Engineer/DBA. 
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• BA/BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

• Expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Proven experience in architecting and optimizing database schemas for scalability and performance.
• Strong skills in performance tuning, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient database solutions.
• Proficiency in installation, configuration, and maintenance of MS SQL Server instances.
• Hands-on experience with backup strategies, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) setups.
• Knowledge of Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) implementation and other encryption solutions.
• Advanced skills in monitoring and optimizing database performance.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining database security policies and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and support skills for resolving database-related issues and ensuring minimal downtime.
