This role is part of Landis+Gyr’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Key Responsibilities
- Full SDLC involvement – from design to deployment – for both new and existing manufacturing software solutions.
- Debug and enhance in-house and third-party software that controls production line hardware.
- Refactor and modernize proprietary software using the latest C# and .NET technologies.
- Stay up to date with emerging frameworks and propose innovative solutions.
- Troubleshoot software issues in real-time during the production process – some on-site presence required.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong C# expertise (minimum 2 years of professional experience).
- Experience with .NET Framework/Core, WPF, Entity Framework, LINQ, Blazor, and Unity.
- Proficiency in SQL and RDBMS (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle).
- Knowledge of Git version control and standard branching workflows.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
- Understanding of design patterns (e.g., MVVM, DI).
- Basic embedded systems knowledge (MCUs, preferably AVR) and programming knowledge in C++.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience in industrial automation.
- Understanding basic electronic circuits.
- Knowledge of cryptography especially PKI.
- Experience in designing and consuming RESTfull APIs.
- Familiarity with scripting.
