Network and Security Architect

Responsibilities:

• Accountable for designing, implementing, and managing the organization's network infrastructure and security measures.
• Collaborates with various stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure that the technology infrastructure aligns with organizational goals.
• Stays current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security threats to recommend and implement effective solutions.
• Develops and implements comprehensive network security architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and other security technologies.
• Designs the organization's network and security infrastructure.
• Collaborates with other ICT teams to ensure seamless integration of network components.
• Designs and deploys security solutions to protect against advanced threats and vulnerabilities.
• Defines and enforces network security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational requirements.
• Conducts, supervises regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
• Leads incident response activities in the event of a security breach, coordinating with cross-functional teams to contain and mitigate the impact.
• Conducts post-incident analysis and implements measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Works closely with other ICT teams, including network, systems, and application teams, to design and integrate security measures into overall ICT architecture.
• Communicates complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stays abreast of the latest security technologies, industry trends, and threat intelligence to proactively identify and address emerging risks.
• Evaluates and recommends new security tools and technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Master's degree and relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM or other ISC2 Certifications, CCNP Security, CCDP, Microsoft Azure Certifications) are considered a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of professional work experience in a complex airport environment in information technology in a high volume, 24/7 operating environment, including project management, operations of large-scale enterprises, is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in delivering ICT security services / architecture.
• Proven experience as a Network Security Architect or in a similar role.
• Deep understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security principles.
• Experience in SOC environment with hands-on knowledge of security-related products and technologies such as firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, Network/Endpoint Security, Firewall, SIEM, XDR, SOAR and other security technologies.
• Solid understanding of diverse cloud computing technologies, encompassing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
• Experience with cloud security platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, showcasing proficiency in safeguarding cloud-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of security best practices, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Broad knowledge of platforms and systems used in the airport and aviation industry.
• Demonstrated experience with computerized systems, database management and spreadsheet and word-processing programs to manipulate data and create reports.
• Organizational and project management, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), and ability to manage/work with contractors for project implementation and system maintenance and support works.
• Ability to provide direction, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and drive projects to completion and on schedule, to scope, and within budget.
• Project Management skills.
