We are Confluence<1>, a New York City software development company serving the Finance Industry since 1996. 

We are seeking a Full-Stack Programmer to join our team. The successful candidate will be proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, and Javascript.
This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web applications, ensuring they are efficient and user-friendly.
Must speak English well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, Javascript and Git.
• Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features and improvements.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and usability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues.
• Strict adherence to coding standards and development practices  already in place.

Desired experience and skills:

• Minimum two years experience as a software developer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, and Javascript.
• Linux is a must, or at least be willing to learn it.
• Understanding of how web technology works without frameworks.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, but also know when it is not indicated.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Focused, go-getter attitude and able to work remotely and independently.
• Working knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous AI code development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor and Jules) will be considered an advantage.
