About the Role
As the IT Operations Manager at Alumil, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Alumil's IT infrastructure, ensuring that our IT systems and services are running efficiently and effectively. You will manage a team of IT professionals and work closely with various departments to understand their technical needs and help implement solutions.
Your main focus is to adeptly oversee the availability, stability, and security of all IT systems, networks, and services within the Group.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing IT operations and ensuring that IT services meet the organization's needs and performance targets.
- Overseeing the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of IT systems including server infrastructure, networks, and cloud services.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of IT infrastructure and business-critical systems.
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing.
- Oversee incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
- Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Lead and manage IT operations team including system, database, network administrators and IT service desk staff.
- Ensure that all employees can work efficiently in a secure and reliable hybrid environment (remote and on-site), providing consistent access to tools, systems, and support.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in a similar IT operations or infrastructure management role.
- 2+ years of proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing IT teams.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure Management, including servers, networking, databases, and cloud technologies (Azure).
- Hands-on experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL, including incident, change, and asset management.
- Proficiency in IT monitoring and automation tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, PowerShell).
- Solid understanding of networking and security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills and experience with agile methodologies.
- Proficient in English, both in written and spoken forms.
