IRIDA is an independent and dynamically growing company specializing in fish feed production. With two production plants located in Agrinio and in the Industrial Area of Patras, IRIDA delivers high-quality products and services to the Mediterranean aquaculture sector.
We are currently seeking an IT Systems Engineer to join our team at our production facility in Patras.
Position Summary
The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, support, planning, and management of the company’s IT infrastructure. The role ensures the seamless operation of IT systems and services, upholding the highest security standards. The position also involves coordinating and implementing IT projects, working closely with vendors and other departments, while promoting digital transformation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of cybersecurity by managing endpoint protection systems, enhancing security policies, and mitigating potential risks in collaboration with specialized external partners.
- Administer and support cloud-based systems, promoting their optimal use across the organization and assisting users in their adoption.
- Monitor the performance of IT infrastructure, utilizing monitoring tools to proactively prevent downtimes.
- Manage and support enterprise network operations, including WAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi connections.
- Organize and maintain Computer Rooms and central computing systems (e.g., Servers, UPS, NAS systems, routers, switches).
- Manage patching and upgrades of central IT systems and devices, minimizing production downtime.
- Controls backup, restore, and recovery processes for critical infrastructure systems.
- Support voice communication and call center services.
- Provide IT support for end users, workplace equipment, and shop floor IT systems.
- Act as System Lead for the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring effective usage across the IT team.
- Understand the business applications hosted on IT infrastructure (e.g., MES/WMS) and assist in the support in cooperation with internal or external teams.
- Diagnose and resolve issues promptly and work proactively to prevent future incidents.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
- Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Willingness to travel between company sites as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and MS Windows Server/Active Directory administration.
- Good understanding of networking components and services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, Routing, VPN).
- Experience with endpoint management, backup systems, monitoring tools, and Unifi technology is a plus.
- High motivation to learn and adopt new technologies.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
