Description:

We are seeking a Vessel Communication Support and Quality Assurance Agent to support users (located both on-board the vessels and in various shore offices) of our ship-to-shore messaging application, crucial for operational monitoring of our vessels. You will play a key role in the testing and development of the software, collecting user feedback, and suggesting improvements. This position is vital for ensuring accurate statutory reporting to numerous auditing bodies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the messaging application from both business and technical perspectives.
  2. Assist on-board and office users with proper reporting and monitoring through the application.
  3. Proactively contact users to ensure correct reporting.
  4. Mediate between key stakeholders, on-board and ashore, for business and development matters.
  5. Help users transition between different versions of the application, highlighting key points.
  6. Perform functional and quality testing on the application under development.
  7. Guide corrective actions for improperly submitted data.

    Requirements and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, or related field;
    • Basic understanding of software development and Quality Assurance processes; familiarity with maritime operations and reporting.
    • Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities; capable of analyzing user feedback and suggesting improvements.
    • Proven ability to work with diverse teams; strong customer service orientation.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues; initiative to contact users to ensure compliance.
    • High attention to detail in monitoring application usage and identifying discrepancies; meticulous documentation of issues and resolutions.

     

    Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 or 10:00-18:00
