IT User Support

Antipollution is the leading company in the provision of Port Reception Facilities and one of the largest Waste Management companies in Greece and the Mediterranean. Antipollution is a member of V Group, which is a robust Group of Companies with a strong presence and continuous growth in Waste Management, Renewable Energy Sources and Financial Investments.

 

We are growing fast, and we are looking for an IT User Support who will join our knowable IT team and contribute to maintaining organization's IT systems and providing technical support to users.

 

The role is full-time and permanent, based in our Piraeus office, yet some travelling to our regional sites may be required.

 

Role Purpose

This role is essential for ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations by directly supporting the end-users (Approx. 200) for the company and the Group, andGroup and maintaining the operational health of the Company’s IT infrastructure.

 

What you will need to do:

  • Provide first-line support to end-users facing issues with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
  • Handle support requests through tickets, phone calls, emails, and in-person requests.
  • Diagnose IT problems and provide solutions or escalate to higher-level staff as necessary.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting and guide users through step-by-step solutions.
  • Install, configure, and update hardware and software for users.
  • Perform routine maintenance and checks to ensure systems operate efficiently.
  • Educate and guide users on basic system and software functions, ensuring they understand and can use IT resources effectively.
  • Create training materials and documentation for end-users.
  • Monitor IT systems and networks for issues.
  • Report any found issues to the relevant IT department.
  • Assist with implementing security measures and protocols to protect systems and data.
  • Educate users about security practices, including password security and email phishing awareness.
  • Keep an inventory of all IT assets and manage software licenses.
  • Order replacement parts and manage stock for essential hardware.
  • Maintain detailed logs of user requests, issues, and resolutions.
  • Document processes and frequently asked questions for future reference.

 

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (Master's degree preferred); any Microsoft certification would be highly desirable
  • Proven experience of 1-3 years providing first-line support to end-users
  • Demonstrated work experience in Active Directory and support of Microsoft OS ecosystem
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (i.e. Azure) would be highly preferred
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and apply logical solutions
  • Customer-oriented approach to handle stressful situations politely and efficiently.
  • Very good knowledge of English language
  • Driving license
