The Data Science team is looking for a senior Software Engineer to act as a bridge between the Data Science and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation on mathematics and experience in C# development.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish coding principles in C# for runtime efficiency and technical scalability.
• Maintain and refactor the Data Science .NET model repository.
• Create, populate and maintain SQL databases. 
• Design and implement services as microservices that will be part of a bigger application stack. 
• Ability to understand the underlying maths of the pricing models.
• Report to the Director of Data Science on workflow and share findings with the Data Science team.
• Collaborate closely with other Engineering teams.

Essential

• A postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or other quantitative field.
• 3+ years of working as a Software Engineer with extensive experience in C#.
• Experience with CRUD actions on various data sources (SQL, NO-SQL, streaming or data-lake).
• Be knowledgeable on RESTful APIs and Kafka topics to consume and produce data from .NET microservices.
• Have experience with automated build pipelines for .NET.
• Experience with version control platforms (e.g. GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket etc.).

Desirable

• Good grasp of various modelling techniques (e.g. Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Time-Series Analysis etc.)
• Basic Python skills (e.g. Numpy, Pandas, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Matplotlib, Keras, PyTorch SciPy etc.).
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• A good understanding of betting concepts and markets.
