Job Description:
METKA ΑΤΕ, as a subsidiary of METLEN, holds a seventh-class contractor's certificate and specializes in construction activities, undertaking infrastructure projects such as road construction, railway, marine projects, certified buildings, etc., as well as solid and liquid waste management projects.

We are currently looking for a Payroll Assistant to join our METKA HR team.

Your role will encompass:

• Support the preparation and processing of payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, while following applicable labor laws and tax regulations.
• Assist in coordinating with payroll vendors and internal teams to ensure payroll information is collected and processed within established deadlines.
• Provide administrative support for payroll-related activities and projects, collaborating across departments to achieve timely and successful execution.
• Maintain payroll records and assist in implementing process improvements and basic automation initiatives where applicable.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external partners to ensure seamless payroll operations.
• Assist in preparing detailed payroll reports and analytics to senior management, ensuring transparency and regulatory alignment.
• Support the investigation of payroll discrepancies by gathering information, checking payroll data, and escalating issues when necessary.

What you bring to the role:

• 1-3 years of experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing sector.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation, tax systems and compliance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, or a related field.
• A Master's degree (MSc or MBA) is considered an asset.
• Organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical and reporting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Solution-oriented mindset.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
