We are looking for a dynamic, career-oriented individual to join our Payroll Department in Thessaloniki, Greece for the position of Payroll Specialist. This role is to be performed remotely in the beginning, until our office in Thessaloniki is fully established and operating – then it will be converted to an on–site job.
Job description:
- Perform daily payroll department operations
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Application of proper taxation of employer paid benefits
- Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary
- General ledger customization based on the client’s need and additional GL files adjustments.
- Load import files received from HR
- Entry of employees’ data (new hires, changes, additional earnings) from the HR system of record to the payroll system.
- Provide payroll forms and information updated.
- Consultancy on payroll related issues.
- Determines value of depreciable assets by running depreciation software program.
- Protecting organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in payroll processing
- A University/College degree in Accounting /HR qualification
- Fluency in both Greek and English
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Knowledge of Pylon & Data (EPSILON programs) is desired
- Experience in working with international/multinational companies will be considered as an advantage
