We are now recruiting for a Payroll Manager.
The Payroll Manager is tasked to oversee the effective processing of payroll operations within the organization, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation. The role encompasses managing payroll staff, ensuring compliance with labor laws and tax regulations, and implementing payroll policies and procedures whilst maintaining payroll records, resolving discrepancies, and providing analytical support related to payroll expenditures. Ultimately, their objective is to contribute to employee satisfaction and operational efficiency by ensuring that payroll is executed seamlessly and supports the overall financial management of the organization.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Oversees, manages and monitors the entire payroll process for all employees in Greece
- Oversees payroll with high-level overview in the Netherlands, US and France, in collaboration with our external associates
- Ensures compliance with company policies and relevant laws and regulations
- Coordinates the troubleshooting of issues or any customization required with the payroll software (ScanHRMS)
- Implements and maintains payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with HR team to improve payroll and processes
- Ensures all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and internal requirements
- Creates and generates managerial reports in a monthly basis to support the Leadership team with informed decision making
- Provides training and development opportunities for payroll team members
- Identifies and implements payroll process and systems improvements to enhance payroll operations
Qualification Standards & Experience:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field coupled with MBA
- 6 years of experience in payroll with 2 of them in a managerial role
- Deep knowledge of Greek labor laws and regulations
- Experience in business partnering, change management, and coaching
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team
- English and MS Office literacy and ScanHRMS excellence
