We are now recruiting for a Payroll Manager.
The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing AVRAMAR’s payroll operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and fully compliant payroll processing across all jurisdictions. This role provides strategic leadership to the payroll team, ensures adherence to local and international labor regulations, and partners with HR, Finance, and other departments to drive continuous improvement in payroll processes, reporting, and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Oversee, manage, and monitor the full payroll cycle for all employees in Greece.
- Provide oversight of payroll processing activities in the Netherlands, US, and France, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, tax obligations, social security, and labor regulations in all relevant jurisdictions.
- Maintain strong governance and internal controls over payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and data integrity.
- Lead the implementation of payroll best practices and process improvements, in close collaboration with HR and Finance.
- Ensure effective use and maintenance of the payroll system (ScanHRMS), coordinating with IT and vendors to resolve issues.
- Generate accurate and timely monthly payroll and management reports to support decision-making.
- Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to payroll team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Identify and implement system enhancements and automation opportunities to drive efficiency and scalability.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reviews.
Qualifications & Experience:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive experience in payroll, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of Greek labor legislation and payroll regulations.
- Experience in business partnering, change management, and coaching.
- Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management experience.
- Fluency in English, proficiency in MS Office, and advanced knowledge of ScanHRMS.
