We are now recruiting for a Payroll Specialist.
Purpose of the Role:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing the payroll accurately and on time, while also focusing on payroll data analysis. The role ensures compliance with local legislation and internal policies, supports internal stakeholders, and contributes to process improvement and efficiency across payroll functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute monthly payroll for employees in Greece and potentially in other Group countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Collect, analyze and process payroll-related data such as overtime, shifts, leaves, bonuses, and other compensation components.
- Prepare and submit mandatory documentation to authorities (e.g. ERGANI, EFKA, Tax Office).
- Generate reports for management, Finance and other stakeholders to support payroll cost analysis, budgeting, and auditing.
- Evaluate and propose improvements to payroll procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as the main point of contact for payroll-related queries from employees.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of payroll systems (e.g. SCAN HRMS or similar).
- Participate in payroll audits and ensure ongoing compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HRM, or a related field.
- Master’s degree (e.g. Finance, HRM) is considered a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience in payroll processing in a large organization or a payroll outsourcing/consulting firm.
- Strong knowledge of Greek labor and social security legislation.
- Hands-on experience with payroll platforms and ERP systems (SCAN HRMS or equivalent).
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
- Fluency in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
