The University of Nicosia invites applications for the role of Human Resources Officer for our upcoming Athens campus. This role is key to supporting the effective operation of HR functions in compliance with university policies and labor laws, while fostering a positive and high-performing work environment.

*Subject to meeting all regulatory and legal requirements in Cyprus and Greece.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Administration & Records

  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with legal and university requirements.
  • Support the administration of HR systems and documentation.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Assist in the hiring process and manage the onboarding of new employees.
  • Ensure new staff are well-integrated into the university environment.

Employee Relations & Support

  • Serve as a liaison between staff and management to promote effective communication.
  • Support the resolution of employee relations matters and help foster a collaborative workplace.

Performance & Development

  • Organize and coordinate employee performance evaluation processes.
  • Collect feedback and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the implementation of training and professional development programs.

Compliance & Policy Implementation

  • Ensure compliance with labor legislation and HR best practices.
  • Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports to support strategic decisions.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Collaborate with other departments on organizational development projects, policy changes, and new systems.
  • Perform general HR administrative tasks, such as document management and meeting coordination.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar HR role.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent knowledge of labor legislation and HR practices.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems and reporting tools.
  • Fluency in Greek and English.

HR Officer
