Metaxa Hospitality Group (MHG) is an internationally multi-awarded group of companies that develops, manages, and operates Resorts and Hotels in Crete and Santorini (Greece). Metaxa Hospitality Group is looking for its HR department based in Heraklion:
As a Learning & Development Specialist you will be responsible for all learning and talent management initiatives for the Group. You will work closely with the Research & Development Supervisor and Hotels’ Managers to deliver training programs for new and existing employees. This role is based at our main offices in Heraklion (Crete).
Learning & Development Specialist
Main responsibilities:
- Assess employee appraisals to identify training needs
- Recommend appropriate training programs to Hotels’ Managers
- Communicate with Educational institutions
- Handle the administration of training programs
- Maintain records of training assessments and retraining requirements
- Evaluate program effectiveness through surveys and employee feedback
- Maintain knowledge of latest trends in training programs
- Create and acquire training procedure manuals and policies
- Participate in “Train the trainer” programs
- Participate in formation and implementation of the Training Academy
- Ensure that training programs comply with local regulations, safety standards and industry requirements
- Manage training budget, optimize resources and ensure cost-effectiveness in training initiatives
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, Education or other Bachelor Degree
- Min 4 year working experience in a similar role
- Excellent use of English, both writing and speaking
- Excellent use of MS Office (strong skills in excel)
- Excellent presentation skills
- Certifications in training and development will be an asset
- Experience in creating video tutorials or utilizing training/quiz platforms is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Communication skills
- Teamwork and cooperation spirit
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
- Ability to maintain and update HR databases
- High level of integrity while handling confidential material
