As part of our investment plan to expand our operations, we are seeking an Operations Manager, who will undertake a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the smooth daily operation of the company.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Operations Manager reports directly to the CEO and is primarily responsible for the seamless day-to-day functioning of the stores at every level.
- Ensures the achievement of the company’s long-term goals.
- Monitors and analyzes operational KPIs and designs action plans to improve them.
- Fosters and maintains an excellent working environment among store employees by providing ongoing support and effective leadership.
- Interacts with store visitors, identifies their needs, responds to their requests, and handles potential complaints, actively participating in daily store operations.
- Acts as a role model for the stores, ensuring the highest standards for both customers and employees.
- Ensures compliance with hygiene and safety standards (HACCP, ISO).
- Supports the Marketing Department in planning, implementing, and managing strategies for retail and wholesale channels, including close communication and relationship management with partners and suppliers.
- Supports HR and the central office functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with Store Managers and Production Unit Managers to ensure effective management and organization of the stores.
- Participates in sales target setting, guides teams to achieve these targets, and defines and monitors all processes required for efficient resource management.
- Works with managers to reduce operational costs and achieve high levels of customer service through proper store organization.
- Actively participates in identifying new retail or wholesale channels within the store areas.
- Responsible for product costing.
- Designs, implements, and ensures adherence to all internal procedures regarding store organization and daily operations, based on safety protocols and certifications (HACCP, ISO), as well as personnel, product, financial, and service-level management.
- Uses results from internal audits, measurable indicators, and store P&Ls to make decisions that enhance store performance.
- Manages the existing store network and ensures its maintenance and upgrades.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial role within similar retail networks, with excellent market knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills in Greek and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Required documentation for working in establishments of sanitary interest (clean criminal record, health certificate).
- EFET Certification for Food Hygiene & Safety.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
