The University of Nicosia invites applications for the role of Academic Advisor for our upcoming Athens campus. This role is vital in supporting students throughout their academic journey by offering guidance, resolving concerns, and promoting student success through structured academic advising services.

Key Responsibilities:
Student Advising
- Provide academic advising in accordance with university policies and procedures.
- Guide students in selecting appropriate academic paths and course choices.
- Support students in understanding and fulfilling academic requirements.
Student Success Monitoring
- Track students’ academic progress and engage with them to address challenges.
- Maintain accurate advising records and use data to provide targeted support.
- Address concerns and inquiries raised by students regarding academic matters.
Orientation & Transition Support
- Assist with the student admission and registration process by providing relevant information to new students.
- Organize and participate in orientation activities that facilitate student transition.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with academic departments to ensure effective coordination of academic support.
- Contribute to problem-solving and institutional initiatives that enhance the student experience.
- Participate in departmental meetings and activities as needed.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in academic advising or a related role in higher education.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive student issues with discretion and professionalism.
- Organizational ability and proficiency in maintaining accurate records.
- Fluency in Greek and English.
