Job Summary

Position title: Assistant Accountant

As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations, i.e. timely and efficient execution of payments, agreement of invoices, and the communication and processing of requests from internal and external parties, ensuring that all procedures are properly followed in accordance with Greek legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and review receipts, invoices, and other accounting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts and prepare relevant financial statements.
• Manage accounting correspondence and maintain both electronic and physical filing systems.
• Support and oversee electronic invoicing processes.
• Collaborate with external partners, auditors, and regulatory authorities to provide accurate financial data.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT and withholding tax returns.
• Contribute to all daily accounting department operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to internal controls.

Your Profile

• Fluent in English
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with digital tools. 
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and reliable. 
• Eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a dynamic team.
