Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within your assigned section.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards as set by the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
• Always maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
• Support the Chef de Partie in supervising and mentoring junior staff when required.
• Participate in stock control and assist with inventory checks.
• Contribute to a positive kitchen team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a professional environment
• Basic culinary qualifications or relevant training preferred.
• A good understanding of culinary operations and food safety standards
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow instructions accurately.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
