The Financial Controlling Specialist is responsible for managing and executing financial closing processes, impairment exercises and supporting financial reporting and control activities. The role involves close cooperation with multiple teams, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to continuous process improvements through data analytics.

The opportunity
The Financial Controlling Specialist is responsible for managing and executing financial closing processes, impairment exercises and supporting financial reporting and control activities. The role involves close cooperation with multiple teams, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to continuous process improvements through data analytics.
What you will focus on
- Participate in financial reporting closing process, perform reconciliations between systems, prepare and submit Group packages and enclosures, respond to Group review queries promptly and accurately.
- Conduct impairment assessments for stores and goodwill, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting policies.
- Perform analytical reviews on Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS) variances to ensure completeness and accuracy, identify and explain financial trends and discrepancies.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of controls to ensure strong internal control framework compliance.
- Participate in the preparation of statutory financial statements and assist with the Budgeting process for the Business Services Finance (BSF) related expenses.
- Investigate and resolve accounting issues, ensuring adherence to the company's Accounting Manual and relevant accounting standards.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy within controlling activities.
Who we are looking for
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's or professional qualification e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA will be considered as an asset).
- 3-4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance of a large company or audit
- Knowledge of IFRS and Accounting
- Advanced excel and reporting skills
- Excellent command in English both verbal and written
