Financial Controller

Scope of role: The Financial Controller is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and compliance of financial operations across a group of five (5) hotel properties. The role oversees hotel financial reporting, internal controls, while supporting statutory compliance and senior management with timely and reliable financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a part of the Senior Finance Management team, leading all hotel finance functions

• Ensures timely and accurate financial reporting with a focus on management reports, on a month end & year end basis

• Reviews balance sheets, reconciliations, and account analyses on a regular basis

• Support finance management team with reference to activities related to external auditors, tax authorities, and third-party reviewers

• Ensures compliance with USALI and local statutory and tax regulations

• Monitors capital expenditures and ensures alignment with approved budgets and CAPEX plans

• Works closely with hotel operations and senior management to provide financial insight and decision support

• Supports the Group Director of Finance & Business Support

• Leads and develops the finance team, promoting strong internal controls and best practices

Qualifications:

• University degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field

• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) will be considered an asset

• 7+ years of experience in hospitality finance, ideally in a large hotel or multi-property group

• Strong knowledge of USALI and hotel financial reporting

• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

• Strong leadership and people management skills

• Ability to build strong relationships with hotel management, owners, and international brands

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
