Financial Controller

Role: As a Financial Controller you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective budgeting, and strong internal controls, while providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Perform variance analysis by comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights to management.
• Monitor cars’ and spare parts’ stock aging, conduct detailed analysis, and propose commercial offers that optimize financial results.
• Manage the full month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Oversee the preparation of all internal and external financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement) in accordance with IFRS or Greek GAAP.
• Lead the development of the company’s annual budget and rolling financial forecasts.
• Collaborate closely with department heads—especially Sales (per brand) and After-Sales (spare parts)—to support and monitor their specific budgets.
• Establish, document, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and customs regulations, as well as all financial reporting requirements.
• Monitor and manage daily cash flow, taking into account factory loading programs from ports.
• Optimize banking relationships and oversee treasury-related activities.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance
• Master's degree (MBA) , CPA or ACCA is considered as an asset
• 3+ years of experience on the same position and 5+ years as financial or business analyst
• 4+ years of experience in automotive sector
• Deep knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principals
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SOFTONE, or/and SAP) and in data analysis tools (BI)
• Knowledge and use of AI tools
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines
