As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll operations and employee compensation processes of the hotel. You will ensure the timely and accurate preparation of payroll, compliance with legal and internal policies, and provide support to the Finance and HR teams. Responsibilities
- Support the preparation and processing of payroll, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and organizational policies.
- Maintain precise employee records and payroll documentation to streamline payroll functions.
- Review and validate timesheets, expense reports, and payroll modifications for accuracy and completeness.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and related topics with professionalism and clarity.
- Assist in managing compensation changes, including bonuses and incentive programs.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to facilitate timely payroll disbursements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Aid in the implementation and upkeep of payroll software and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Participate in routine payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in payroll processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll processing, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Solid understanding of Greek payroll legislation, tax laws, and social security regulations.
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel; experience with timekeeping systems is an advantage.
- Exceptional accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- Fluency in both Greek and English is required.
