About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee the financial operations of our organization. The role ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations while providing strategic financial insights to support effective decision-making. The Accountant will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and day-to-day finance activities.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor petty cash, ensuring proper documentation, approvals, and disbursements.

Record and reconcile all bank transactions; prepare accurate monthly bank reconciliations.

Oversee accounts payable, process supplier invoices, and ensure timely payments.

Process and validate employee travel expenses within Greece, ensuring approvals and supporting documentation.

Track and coordinate contract renewals, such as health insurance and office leases.

Handle payroll processing, including social security, income tax calculations, and SAP entries.

Perform month-end closing activities, including prepaid expenses and provisions.

Reconcile profit and loss reports monthly, ensuring accurate cost allocations.

Assist in the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.

Maintain accurate filing and documentation for all financial transactions.

Liaise with external auditors and provide support during audits.

Prepare financial and cost-related reports, particularly payroll-related items (e.g., health insurance, bonuses).

Communicate with banks and external vendors regarding financial matters.

Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and payroll processes.

Fluent in English.

Experience with SoftOne is a plus.
