Join FOODLINK as an AR Accountant & Credit Control Specialist – Take Ownership of Receivables

This is a key role in managing customer accounts, improving collections, and ensuring accurate receivables accounting. You will work closely with the Accounting Supervisor and cross-functional teams, helping to maintain strong cash flow and financial control.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable

• Process and issue customer invoices accurately and on time based on contractual agreements
• Record incoming payments, apply receipts to customer accounts, and reconcile balances
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and maintain up-to-date records of outstanding amounts
• Perform monthly AR reconciliations and work closely with the accounting team during month-end and year-end closings.
• Prepare and deliver customer account statements and respond to account queries

Credit Control

• Track overdue balances and follow up with customers through phone calls and emails
• Maintain and update aging reports and assist in the preparation of DSO tracking
• Identify high-risk accounts and escalate to the Head of Financial Operations when necessary
• Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve payment issues or disputes
• Contribute to the setup and execution of structured dunning processes and collection actions

Reporting & Collaboration

• Prepare and update basic AR and credit control reports, including:
• Cash Receipts Reports
• Aging of Receivables
• Customer Balances Reconciliations
• Weekly Collection Status Reports
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
• Assist in the continuous improvement of AR and credit processes and tools

Candidate Profile – Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Credit Control, preferably in a commercial or logistics environment
• Good knowledge of AR accounting principles and credit management practices
• Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage priorities and communicate clearly with internal teams and customers
• Fluent in Greek and proficient in English
