DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

Premier Capital Hellas, the operator of 32 McDonald’s restaurants across Greece, is seeking to recruit a Director of Finance.

POSITION

The Director of Finance plays a vital role in driving financial success. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, and having the accounting manager, reporting manager and the senior treasury accountant as direct reports, you'll be responsible for supporting the strategic direction and provide support across the full spectrum of the financial activities, ensuring these align with our overall goals and direction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial planning and analysis: Partnering with the Senior Director of Finance and key stakeholders, you'll support our stakeholders, together with our reporting department, with decisions to develop and implement the annual budget, deliver forecasts, and financial plans. You'll analyse financial performance, identify trends and potential risks, and recommend proactive actions to enhance value added.
• Financial Compliance: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting is crucial as part of the day to day activities. You'll oversee this process together with our accounting manager, adhering to both Greek GAAP and IFRS standards. You'll also be engaged in liaising with the group’s internal audit and oversee the external audit process, maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external auditors.
• Cost Control: You'll support with implementing the right strategies to control costs, allocate resources effectively, and drive profitability. This will involve collaborating closely with the Managing Director, General Manager, Senior Director of Finance and department heads to foster a data-driven culture as the company grows, and our need for financial accountability plays a bigger role.
• Risk Management: Working collaboratively with the Senior Director of Finance, you'll identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with our business. You'll also be involved in developing and implementing a robust risk management framework.
• Tax Management: You'll work with our accounting manager, to ensure we meet all tax obligations, minimise tax liabilities, and maintain positive relationships with the tax authorities in line with the relevant legislations. Looking forward at potential tax legislation and taking practice actions to deal with the full spectrum of tax obligations and compliance needs.
• Internal Controls & Security: You'll support in championing the maintaining a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, maintaining data integrity.

THE REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate should have held a similar role for at least 5 years of management experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified and a Bachelor Degree in Financial or Economics. Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other related discipline will be preferred. The successful candidate should hold an ‘A’ class accountant license and have an excellent knowledge of legal entities taxation as well as a good knowledge and experience with IFRS. Should be experienced in working with ERPs and good knowledge in Microsoft Navision will be preferred. Excellent use of English and Greek language is a must.
