For our Headquarters in Athens City Centre we are looking for an:

ACCOUNTANT for Greece & Cyprus

The position, within the Accounting Department, reports to the Accounting Supervisor and will be responsible and accountable for the following activities:

• Preparing and recording all the necessary accounting entries and reconciliations in SAP FI module
• ⁠Ensure timely and accurate accounting booking entries including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, VAT and Tax reporting, accounts Payable and Receivable
• Meeting reporting deadlines (internal & external)
• Ensuring compliance with the tax and accounting standards and regulations
• ⁠Cooperating with external (statutory, tax, etc.) and internal auditors when needed and supporting the audits
• ⁠Maintain supporting schedules or documentation associated with closing journal entries
• ⁠Be part of the monthly/quarterly/yearly closing process and perform reconciliations for all General Ledgers accounts
• ⁠Manage the administrative and accounting relations with suppliers and customers
• Cooperate with bank for ordinary activities (bank statement reconciliation).
• Participate in day-to-day activities regarding till closures and direct collaboration with our retail stores

 Qualifications & Competencies required:

• BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• SAP FI knowledge
• Experience in MyDATA platform
• At least 3 years’ experience with general ledger and the month-end/year-end closing process
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent knowledge of English language
• Team player
• Ability to work in a team environment (direct collaboration with our retail stores)
• ⁠Knowledge of IFRS is a plus
