Being a senior member within our Accounting & Finance department you will be responsible for preparing reports to support business needs and suggesting recommendations for further enhancement of current processes.
The role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills to support financial decisions and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analyses to evaluate company performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage budgeting processes, forecast financial performance, and provide guidance to budget owners to optimize resource allocation within the organization.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, conveying complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Identify opportunities to further enhance financial processes and controls to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial operations.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, fostering strong liaisons with other departments to synergize efforts and achieve optimal outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with and execution of procedures, policies, and work directives outlined in PeopleCert's Integrated Management System
- Carry out tasks and requests relevant to the role and the scope of activities by applying a flexible & adaptable customer centric approach to serve PeopleCert’s multinational presence and global operations across multiple time zones.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field; postgraduate degree in Finance is desired.
- 4 years’ minimum experience in a similar position in a multinational working environment.
- A relevant professional qualification (CFA, ACCA, ACA) will be highly regarded
- Advanced knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and corporate finance.
- Excellent command of the English Language (Level C2). Extra languages desired.
- Commitment to providing excellent quality work.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Well organized, self-driven, flexible, and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
- Prior working experience in the certification of persons and/or training and exam fields will be considered an asset.
- Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.
If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
- A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
- Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
- HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Financial background check
- Employment reference check.
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
