Main Tasks/Competencies:

• Primary focus on Core/Metro, IP and MPLS domains, that support retail & business services (Core, BRAS/BNG, Metro access/aggregation, etc)
• Secondary focus on the systems under team’s responsibility (AAA/Radius, DHCP)
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities ensuring the effective operation of the responsibility domains
• Implement changes/upgrades on network elements, ensuring minimal risks regarding the service to the customer
• Participate (together with engineering team) in projects related with systems under responsibility by ensuring/crosschecking that all the operational objectives/deliverables will be adequately covered, planned and implemented.
• Participate in Audit, PoC & Testing procedures
• Provide technical assistance related to the detection, identification, and resolution of faults 
• Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve/escalate problems concerning customer complains
• Create and maintain documentation for day-to-day operation and maintenance activities
• Co-ordinate with Vendors and third party partners for the proper handling of projects or issues on systems and related services under responsibility 
• Participate in rotation standby scheme, providing 2nd/3rd level support to relevant systems/platforms on a 24x7 basis

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related sector. 
• Experience in a similar position - preferably in a service provider/operator or vendor/partner/integrator.
• Experience in carrier grade Cisco/Nokia/Juniper platforms
• Strong protocol level understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF/ISIS, MPLS/VPLS, BGP, PPP, Ethernet
• Hold a Professional level industry recognized vendor qualification in Routing or Service Provider domains such as CCNP, JNCIP
• Experience in using network devices such as Cisco (ASR9k, NCS, N7k/N5k, ASR920), Juniper (MX), Nokia (7750) and operating systems IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NX-OS, JUNOS, SR OS. 
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (NMS), OSS/BSS, etc. 
• Ability to analyse problems and conduct effective fault diagnosis and system recovery.
• Flexible and enthusiastic attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills in Greek & English
• Excellent team player skills
• Keen on learning and sharing knowledge

Additional Requirements/Qualifications considered an asset:

• Experience in Linux, scripting languages, Python and Ansible
• Experience in AAA (Radius), DHCP and configuration/operation of relevant well-known software (Kea/ISC DHCP, FreeRadius, Radiator, etc).
• Experience in Fortinet firewalls
