ELECTRICAL ENGINEER FOR THE TENDERING AND ESTIMATION DEPARTMENT Ref 0275

Qualifications / Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Sc. / B.Eng. / M.Sc. / M.Eng. )
• Fresh graduate engineer with 0-3 years of experience in construction and engineering industry
• Computer literate proficient in MS Office with emphasis on Excel and Power Point. Experience in other software like AutoCAD & DIALux is a plus
• Fluent in English, written and oral communication
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fast learner with attention to detail and accuracy
• Interested and willing to work in a multinational environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Studying & reviewing Tender documents
• Identifying contradictions and missed information in the ITT (Instruction to Tender) and preparing pre-bid clarifications
• Collaborating with engineers and professionals from other departments and collect information and data that will be useful for the tender
• Preparing Inquiry Packages for scopes to be sub-contracted and materials to be procured and making sure that these packages contain all supporting documents like BOQs, specifications, drawings, construction schedules, etc.
• Floating inquiries, replying to suppliers/vendors clarifications, timely receival of offers, negotiating and assessing received offers
• Reviewing construction schedule and providing comments to Planning Engineer
• Estimating manpower, staff, equipment, materials and subcontractors requirements
• Reviewing technical proposal prepared by Technical Engineer
• Preparing cost summaries and reviewing with management
• Preparing conditions of offer and filling pricing schedules that will be shared with Client

Notes:

1. Tender / Bid / Estimate: A tender is an invitation from a Client to a private entity (Engineering/Construction company) in order to estimate the cost and provide an offer for a properly defined and specified work.

• The above mentioned duties will be supervised by a senior member of the team who will be providing the introduction and necessary training for selected candidate.
