Job responsibilities & Required Abilities

Preventative, predictive, correctional and emergency maintenance and repair of PPA machinery and equipment, in order to ensure the safety and the  high availability of equipment to Operational Depts of PPA

Ensures that the port equipment and the machinery under surveillance of Engineering Dept. are in a state of readiness and well maintained

Ensures a safe working environment and strict compliance with Health and Safety regulations and other relevant port procedures

Seeks out best practices, identify causes of problems, propose solutions and implement corrective actions in limited time frames

Ensures that the work carried out is of high standards and in accordance with the manuals

Assessment of situations and preventive actions to limit potential risks/dangers at work

Ensures good in-house working practices (Time focus, cleanliness, mutual respect, communication, organizing, etc.)

Reporting of maintenance and repair actions to the supervisor in charge

Job Qualifications:

Electrical working license acknowledged in Greece

Degree in Electrical Engineering will be considered an asset

Basic knowledge of information technology systems (MS Office / Original Equipment Manufacturer OEM programs)

Basic knowledge of English (spoken/written) in order to communicate, read and understand maintenance & repair manuals of equipment and machinery

Car driving license, a professional driving license will be considered an asset

Fulfilled military obligations (for male candidates)

 Experience

At least two (2) years of proven experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment or in industrial environment

Knowledge & Preferred Skills

Good working knowledge of maintenance practices, use of diagnostic tools and equipment is required

Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals and electrical drawings

Extensive knowledge of general safety, health and environmental issues as well as be familiar with working at height

Fully committing to the job, customer focused (internal and external customers)

Team focused in order to achieve maximum performance, utilizing all available resources

Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
