MAS SA is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join its technical team and support maintenance, repair, and assembly activities within the company’s workshop operations.
The role focuses primarily on hands-on mechanical work, including maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment, while also supporting basic electrical and technical tasks when required. The selected candidate will actively contribute to the reliability, safety, and proper functioning of workshop machinery, tools, and mechanical assemblies, working closely with engineers and technical teams.
The position also includes occasional field support, with participation in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities at project sites, when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, servicing, and repair of mechanical equipment, machinery, and components within the workshop.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues (and basic electrical or hydraulic faults) using appropriate tools and diagnostic methods.
- Assist in the assembly, installation, and testing of mechanical systems, equipment, and panels based on technical drawings and company procedures.
- Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks to ensure proper equipment operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Support equipment preparation, testing, and documentation prior to installation, delivery, or commissioning.
- Provide technical support during field activities, including occasional travel for installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting at customer or project sites.
Requirements:
- Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar technical role.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Basic problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Understanding of Greek safety regulations and compliance standards in workshops.
- Basic communication and organizational skills.
