The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Project Engineer | Μηχανικός Έργων”, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Project Manager of the Capital Projects department in Skouries.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage engineering projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept to final execution.
• Providing engineering expertise, including guidance on standards, procedures, equipment strategies, condition monitoring, and failure analysis.
• Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
• Maintaining cost control throughout all project phases and ensuring successful delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure effective communication.
• Supervising contractors and inspecting project work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Maintaining a safe working environment by conducting risk assessments, JSAs, investigations, and enforcing site procedures and safety protocols.
• Ensure proper Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) processes are implemented across all engineering disciplines.
• Oversee the design and engineering of equipment and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage procurement activities, including the selection of contractors and suppliers, while ensuring value for money.
• Monitor project progress, preparing regular reports for stakeholders and presenting updates at project review meetings.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or a related discipline).
• 2-3 years of experience in project engineering within the mining and / or construction industry.
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• Working knowledge of open pit and underground mining operations (desirable).
• Strong skills in project scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
• Good knowledge of the English language
• Deswik software basic knowledge (desirable)
• AutoCAD 2D knowledge and other engineering software
• MS Project knowledge
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with a proven track record of successful project delivery including contractor management.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex engineering problems and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong working relationships with stakeholders at aal levels.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental and safety regulations within the mining sector.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Driver’s Licence
