EVIOP-TEMPO S.A., a leading company in the production of industrial electrical goods for Siemens & Phoenix Contact is currently seeking to hire a “Quality Engineer”, based in Vasiliko Chalkidas. We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team. The position reports to the Quality Manager.
Objective of the Position:
The main responsibility is to oversee all factory activities related to the quality of final products for the Siemens customer segment. The candidate should be able to perform tasks related but not limited to inspection, evaluation, qualification and release support, on new and existing articles, components and processes in local projects. The candidate should develop processes, test procedures and implement systems that ensure the products and processes fulfill quality standards, meet safety regulations, and satisfy client expectations. Develop the relevant reporting system and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Local implementation of common Quality methods supporting failure prevention in alignment with headquarter Quality team
- Participation and quality presentations in daily shop floor meetings
- Conducting a wide range of quality control tests and analysis to ensure that components, articles and processes meet or exceed specified standards and end user requirements
- Performing and maintaining FMEA's and transfer knowledge to product and process engineering
- Conducting continual product audits both internally as well as externally (suppliers)
- Conducting RCA (root cause analysis) whenever problems are identified through internal non-conformities or customer complaints. Assure that improvement activities are planned and will take place in an agreed period
- Handling complaints to suppliers – Assure that improvement activities are planned and will take place in an agreed period.
- Maintaining full communication with customers and suppliers in case of non-conformities
- Setting up and maintaining KPIs relevant to the quality processes of the factory
- Conducting process improvement teams and monitoring the results of the teams’ activities.
- Creating, revising and approving of Test Plans & Control Cards according to standards, customer expectations, risk analysis and potential customer complaints. Developing the relevant KPIs and reporting procedures.
- Supporting headquarters in projects by systematic failure prevention management (e.g. localization, relocation, new articles, new processes, new equipment)
- Performing statistical capability test for inspection and test-procedures
- Preparation of ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) and submission to headquarters
- Managing communications with Siemens headquarters, as regards Quality Assurance
- Awareness of R&D topics through communication with headquarter R&D
- Review, modify and adhere to the ISO 9001 standard
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Engineering school diploma. Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred
- 2-3 years’ experience in relevant field
- Experience in DIN/EN/ISO 9001:2015 is preferred
- Experience in execution of common automotive Quality managements standards (e.g. ISIR, Test Plan, Process Capability Studies)
- Knowledge of 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa Diagrams will be an asset
- Ability to motivate a project team for systematical failure prevention, collaboration, and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary environment at varying levels of seniority.
