This role is part of Landis+Gyr’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Junior Production Engineer
Purpose and Objective
Manage resources to execute effectively, cost efficiently and with high quality the production plan and deliver to customers and stakeholders the expected result.
Key Performance Indicators
Productivity, Cost, Quality (FPY, NCC), Delivery, Safety
Core Areas of Responsibility/Accountability
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
- Monitor production to resolve issues
- Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
- Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
- Ensure output meets quality standards
- Enforce health and safety precautions
- Report to upper management
- Integrate disparate systems (e.g. equipment handling, transport)
- Resolve issues and delays in production
- Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality
- Train staff in new and existing processes
- Collaborate with other engineers
- Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
- Propose, drive and introduce improvements
Requirements
- Previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role
- Knowledge of production management
- Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
- Knowledge of performance evaluation
- Experience in reporting on key production metrics
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
- Outstanding communication ability
- Good organizational and leaderships skills
- Strong results-driven approach
Educational / Professional or Vocational Qualifications
- Fluency in English written and spoken
- Master from Technical University
