Role Overview
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with strong mechanical and electrical knowledge to join our Engineering & Technical teams, supporting a diverse portfolio of hotels and luxury villas across the Greek islands and the Peloponnese.
This is a hybrid role that combines leadership, advisory capabilities, and hands-on technical expertise. The ideal candidate will work closely with hotel management and technical teams to maintain operational excellence, ensure uninterrupted functionality of all building systems, and support new projects and expansions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Operations
- Collaborate with maintenance teams across hotels and villas. Decide together with the management which part will be executed by in-house manpower, and which part will be outsourced.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot any critical issues that might be present during the hotel’s operation.
- Work closely with maintenance teams on site to design and execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance plans covering all critical MEP systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, elevators, and other building infrastructure.
- Guarantee compliance with H&S and environmental regulations.
- Drive energy efficiency and cost optimization across all facilities.
Control & Supervision
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of hotels.
- Monitor the performance of all contractors.
- Control budgets, spare parts stock, and service agreements.
- Prepare bi-annual reports for the management on maintenance status, expenses, risks, and priorities.
Projects, Investments & Expansions
- Provide technical expertise for upgrades, renovation projects, expansions of existing hotels, and new facilities.
- Cooperate with architects, consultants, and contractors to review plans, supervise works, and ensure compliance.
- Recommend sustainable, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions.
Cross-Functional Cooperation
- Management, Executives of the Company, Hotel & Maintenance Manager to align technical services with guest satisfaction and operational priorities.
- Finance/Procurement Teams for budgeting, cost control, and supplier management.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering.
- 3+ years’ experience, preferably in a role in hotels, or similar facilities.
- Deep knowledge of hotels’ MEP systems
- Willingness to travel frequently between islands and facilities.
- Experience managing technical teams across multiple sites.
- Fluency in Greek and English language.
- Familiarity with Greek building codes and regulations.
- Background in renovations, expansions, or construction projects.
