Jotis S.A. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / Automation Engineer to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of innovative automation solutions, actively contributing to the optimization of processes and the enhancement of operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automation Project Development and Implementation: Design, program, and implement projects using PLCs and HMIs, from initial concept to final delivery.
- New Machinery Creation: Oversee the complete automation aspect for in-house built production machinery (e.g., packaging, cartoning, and filling machines).
- Legacy Equipment Retrofitting: Modernize outdated production machines by replacing obsolete electronic systems with modern technologies.
- New Machinery Integration: Communicate with international suppliers to ensure the seamless integration of new machines, handling networking and data exchange.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Provide specialized support to production teams, diagnose complex issues, and resolve hardware and software-related problems.
- Data Collection System Development: Maintain and expand systems for collecting production data, such as OEE and critical process parameters (e.g., CIP cycles), to improve overall efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering and/or industrial automation
- Experience in PLC programming and HMI development.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and automation principles.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (electrical, mechanical).
- Experience in the installation and configuration of advanced components like servo drives and frequency inverters.
- Strong diagnostic skills for both hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in English for communication with international suppliers.
- Ability to work as a shift electrician on a rotating schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP and Java.
- Experience in database management, including MySQL and SQL.
