Assistant Mechanical Engineer
Manufacturing industrial company, located in Athens, specializing in firefighting and
special purpose vehicle manufacturing, is interested to hire a young and motivated
Mechanical Engineer
to work as an assistant in the production department of the company.
Main Responsibilities:
- Planning the daily schedule of the production line personnel in co-operation with company’s foreman through application of ERP & MRP systems (SOFT1)
- Communicate with warehouse personnel, and monitor warehouse’s inventory daily (ins and outs)
- Quality control of purchased goods and the final inspections of the company’s end products prior to end user delivery
- Contact with suppliers for technical clarifications and / or offer requests
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental regulations and quality system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001)
- Prepare project - process reports
- Ensure all deadlines are met
- Cost estimation
- Work as liaison between the production foreman and other company departments
Secondary responsibilities:
- Creation of Technical drawings (2D and / or 3D, e.g. weldments, sheet metal, assemblies)
- Prepare training material, compose technical manuals and perform training of end users on company’s products
- After sales technical support – Contact with customers for technical clarifications and / or solutions
- Training of end users on company’s products
- Prepare training material, compose technical manuals
- Monitoring of factory’s electromechanical equipment and facilities maintenance scheduling
Mandatory prerequisites:
- BSc degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Automotive) – TEI Level
- Familiarity with ERP and MRP software (SOFT1)
- Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Microsoft Office fluent
- Very good fluency of Greek and English Language (Verbal and written)
- Very good calculative skills
- Fulfillment of military obligations for male candidates
- Multitasking skills and ability to work under stress and with strict deadlines
- Physical ability and sensory acuity to work at site environment (i.e. climbing, crawling, working – inspecting at heights and/or closed vessels and tanks)
- Mental ability key aspects incl. reasoning and problem solving, spatial reasoning and cognitive flexibility
- Valid driver’s license
Preferable prerequisites:
- Mechanical engineering background
- Previous job experience in engineering on any of the following fields: steel structures, fluid mechanics, manufacturing processes, automotive, pneumatics, CAN BUS systems
- Fluent in German Language
- Adequate knowledge of engineering analysis tools (e.g. ANSYS)
- Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge
