Role Overview:
We are seeking a Junior R&D Electronics Engineer to join our R&D team in Athens. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the design, testing, and development of new hardware solutions for our IoT ecosystem. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and product managers to prototype, validate, and refine electronic subsystems for new and existing devices. The role also involves providing 3rd-level technical support to other departments (e.g., Operations, Field Service, Sales) for issues related to R&D developments, assisting in diagnosing and resolving hardware or firmware problems. The candidate should also be open to occasional travel within Greece and abroad, based on project or support needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of electronic circuits and embedded systems for IoT devices
- Participate in prototype assembly, hardware testing, and debugging
- Conduct basic firmware development and testing
- Maintain detailed documentation of hardware revisions and test results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with software platforms
- Evaluate new components and technologies for potential use in product designs
- Support certification and regulatory compliance testing
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide 3rd-level technical support to other departments (e.g., Operations, Field Service, Sales) on issues related to R&D developments, assisting in diagnosing and resolving hardware or firmware problems.
- Ability to travel occasionally within Greece and abroad, based on project or support needs.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 0–2 years of professional experience in electronics design or development
- Basic understanding of circuit design, embedded systems, and electronics manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.)
- Interest or some experience in firmware development (C/C++ preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to work well in a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Greek
