The company offers the opportunity to those who wish to express interest in the position of “Senior Maintenance Planning Engineer/ Ανώτερος Μηχανικός Προγραμματισμού Συντήρησης”, for its premises in Chalkidiki. The position will be reported to the Superintendent – Reliability and Planning of the Asset Management department in Skouries.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance planning engineers.
- Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic maintenance plans to minimize operational disruptions.
- Lead the development of long-range asset management schedules and budgets.
- Prepare weekly, mid-term, and long-term rolling forecasts for asset management.
- Develop and maintain specific shutdown and major overhaul plans with a rolling forecast.
- Lead weekly schedule coordination meetings.
- Schedule and coordinate labor, materials, plant access, and external resources for planned maintenance and shutdowns.
- Ensure contract readiness and alignment with maintenance requirements.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance activities.
- Contribute to zero-based budgeting and cost control for both process plant and mobile equipment maintenance.
- Develop and manage budgets for the planning group.
- Lead the review, development, and implementation of systems and procedures to improve equipment performance and asset life cycle sustainability.
- Promote best practices in work identification, planning, scheduling, and reporting.
- Use SAP S/4HANA in alignment with the Eldorado Asset Management System.
- Keep preventive and corrective maintenance tactics updated, including PM activities, parts inventory, and work instructions.
- Liaise with procurement and supply teams to ensure timely delivery of inventory and equipment.
- Ensure external resource contracts are in place for all maintenance activities.
- Interface with OEMs, vendors, and contractors on technical (non-commercial) matters.
- Communicate key asset management KPIs and prepare periodic planning and performance reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical, electrical, or chemical.
- Post graduate qualifications in business management are ideal.
- 5+ years in an engineering role in mining or similar heavy industry, working with heavy mobile equipment.
- 3 + years’ experience as a maintenance planning engineer.
- Experience using Asset management/maintenance modules of an ERP, ideally SAP.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera or similar.
- Sound knowledge of maintenance planning philosophies.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Committed to safety and continuous improvement.
- English proficiency level B1 or greater.
