Mechanical Engineer – Designer (Athens)

Scope

The Mechanical Engineer – Designer is responsible for designing mechanical and electromechanical products based on customer requirements. The role includes testing, research, and development of manufacturing and assembly methods.

Primary Responsibilities

• Designs mechanical and electromechanical products based on specifications and operational feedback.
• Prepares and manages technical documentation, including Bills of Materials.
• Conducts feasibility and product capability tests.
• Designs and improves equipment and processes for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
• Ensures product quality through testing methods and process verification.
• Compiles technical reports using test data and performance trends.
• Provides technical support by responding to engineering inquiries.
• Assists technicians and supports their training on assigned projects.
• Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge through continuous learning.
• Supports team and project goals as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Polytechnic School); Master’s degree is a plus.
• Prior engineering experience in a machine shop environment is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical design. Experience with sheet metal and plastic components is a plus.
• Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of working time.
