Health & Safety Manager

Job Information

Location: Chalkidiki, Greece

Department: Development

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

 

Your main responsibilities

  • Program and Compliance Leadership: Develop and oversee comprehensive health and safety programs while ensuring compliance with relevant state and industry regulations.
  • Strategic Planning and Resource Allocation: Develop long-term safety strategies aligned with business goals, and allocate necessary resources including budget, staff, and technology.
  • Training, Incident, and Emergency Management: Oversee staff training in health and safety and lead in emergency planning and incident response.
  • Safety and Food Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits, supervise food safety practices, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Communication and Documentation: Promote a strong safety culture and maintain meticulous records of all safety-related activities, reports, and inspections.
  • Risk Mitigation and Vendor Management: Work closely with the legal department and evaluate vendor safety standards to mitigate risks. Oversee coordinators in food, general, and fire safety, and collaborate with the Certification Manager.

                                               

 

Your main qualifications/skills

  • A Master’s degree in Science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the luxury, tourism, or hospitality industry.
  • Excellent computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of CAD software.
  • Strong project, time management, and communication skills.
  • Solution-oriented and proactive personality with the ability to travel as needed.
  • Superior command of English, both in written and verbal forms.
