As a programme Leader you are expected to work closely with our academic partner, the University of Derby; develop, maintain and improve the delivery of programmes, with responsibility for academic quality decision making; maintain an up-to-date knowledge of academic rules, regulations & procedures and accurately implement them; adequately support students and staff to reach their goals and thrive.

Responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to the day-to-day operational management of the programmes by a variety of activities (liaising with partner University, timetabling, allocation of resources, communications, etc).
• Contribute to and ensure key quality standards are met via a variety of quality assurance processes and reports.
• Actively engage in the recruitment, appointment, induction, professional development, and performance management of reporting academic staff.
• Manage the admissions process, monitor student’s academic performance, and provide them with coaching and counselling.
• Organise a rigorous academic & professional development scheme for students to enhance their overall experience.
• Be involved in teaching, supervision and tutoring

The ideal candidate:

• Possesses a PhD in a Computer Science/ Informatics discipline or a Master’s degree along with relevant professional experience.
• Has extensive teaching experience and has undertaken tutoring and dissertation supervisory
• Is bilingual, with the ability to efficiently communicate in both Greek and English.
• Has been successfully involved in academic management activities and quality assurance processes, within the UK higher education
• Is research-active and committed to continuous professional development.
