Costa Navarino S.A, is seeking an experienced Principal Design Coordinator to join its Technical Department. Reporting to the Technical Director, the successful candidate will lead the coordination of external design consultants across complex hospitality and mixed-use projects, including new builds and renovations. Acting as the main link between design teams, hotel brands, F&B operators, and internal technical and construction teams, the role ensures that design intent, technical quality, development goals, budgets, and project timelines are maintained from concept design through to detailed documentation and on-site execution.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary internal contact for external design consultants, ensuring clarity of Owner requirements and development objectives.
• Lead and coordinate all design disciplines—architectural, structural, MEP, interior, lighting, kitchen, landscape, and other specialists—ensuring full integration and safeguarding design intent.
• Translate development parameters into clear guidance, ensure compliance with GFA, land use, and master planning constraints, and support design decisions considering asset value and lifecycle.
• Coordinate with hotel brands and F&B operators to capture functional requirements, integrate brand standards, and resolve design conflicts with development constraints.
• Oversee technical detailing, constructability, and compliance with regulations, standards, and brand requirements, identifying design clashes and technical gaps early.
• Monitor design progress, support value engineering, and collaborate with Procurement and Construction teams during tender and execution phases, including review of shop drawings and material submissions.
• Lead structured design reviews and workshops, and collaborate with the Real Estate Development Team to align with master planning and feasibility studies.
• Provide on-site design clarification, participate in mock-up reviews, and liaise with Technical Director, internal teams, operators, external consultants, and authorities, reporting on design risks, schedule, and budget impacts.

• Degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in large-scale hospitality, mixed-use, or luxury developments.
• Proven experience in multi-building or phased renovation environments.
• Strong technical detailing capability.
• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies.
• Experience managing multiple consultants simultaneously.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM coordination preferred), and MS Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
