About the job

Based at the Athens Offices of Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino within the Sales & Marketing Department, the Graphic Designer manages the hotel’s creative projects from inception to completion and brings ideas to life using his/her design and illustration skills. The Graphic Designer reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications.

As Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Develop master visual concepts in line with the internal creative brief and the campaigns’ objectives.
• Fulfil general design requests, art-working, supply of materials and day-to-day design needs.
• Collaborate, brainstorm, and provide graphic design support to various hotel departments.
• Design and produce marketing materials including, but not limited to, collateral, touchpoints, advertisements, brochures, signage, and presentations.
• Monitor the progress of all projects, providing continuous status updates.
• Adhere to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s brand guidelines in all design projects.
• Ensure that the corporate manuals are kept up-to-date and implemented as appropriate.
• Supervise production of the hotel’s internal and external collaterals as per the brand’s standards.
• Source and maintain a list of reliable suppliers.
• Manage relationships with external printers and suppliers to ensure quality control at all times.
• Co-ordinate the display and removal of all promotional materials within the hotel premises.
• Update and maintain databases of designs, photography, and video assets.
• Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures (SOPs, etc.).
• Assist departments to implement campaigns in accordance with the marketing plan.
• Maintain the inventory and ordering of collaterals and design kits.
• Support departments with photo or video shoots.
• Respond to trade, media or other departments’ requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Responsible for website’s updating through close collaboration with Mandarin Oriental’s corporate headquarters team and assist with the website’s performance in terms of revenue generation and conversion of revenue.
• Support with our Social Media and all digital channels’ management, drive creative initiatives that can help the resort increase following and engagement, track results and support with campaigns’ planning.
• Be energetic, enthusiastic, resourceful, helpful and passionate to exceed expectations.
• Be resourceful to provide information or note down requests from other colleagues.

• Maintain project schedules and collaborate with the head of department with regard to project timing, scope and budget.

As Graphic Designer, we expect from you: 

• EU Passport or valid Residence Permit is mandatory in order to work in Greece.
• Bachelor’s degree (or in the last year of study) in graphic design or any other design related education certification. Flexible hours available for students.
• Solid knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and interactive media production.
• A solution-oriented, collaborative, proactive individual with strong communication skills.
• A flexible and resilient approach with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced and demanding environment.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design.
• Advanced knowledge of Social Media management practices.
