Duration: 1 Year Contract renewable, with potential to progress to permanent

Programme Overview:

Following the successful execution of a multi-year EU Restructuring strategy, our client aims to fully consolidate the operating model of their Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) Business onto their EU Headquarters. The consolidation of the GFX product offering will complement the newly formed Branch in another location and aims to produce Business efficiencies and Regulatory compliance benefits.  

Role Description:

The GFX Centralisation BA will be primarily accountable for identifying and documenting Business Requirements for the consolidation of the Business, translating the business requirements to technical requirements with the help of specialised Technical BAs and working closely with the Project Manager to define and help execute the delivery plan. The role holder will need to manage meetings, perform various types of analysis and produce documentation to support alignment with the Business strategy and objectives ensure the successful implementation of the consolidation onto the existing Business. This will involve interacting and collaborating with stakeholders from across various business lines and internal functions and across multiple entities and jurisdictions in Europe.

The BA role will hold most or all the following responsibilities:

  • Supporting the workstream Project Manager to work with a broad range of stakeholders (internal and external), to interpret requirements and define appropriate deliverables and project plans to enable completion within programme timelines.
  • Work with business SMEs and perform various types of qualitative and quantitative analysis to deliver the agreed project tasks and deliverables.
  • Collaborate effectively with people and teams from across the bank and countries that it operates in to support the delivery process and management of interdependencies with other workstreams and programmes.
  • Ensure analysis and decisions are documented and recorded in a manner that complies with the Group standards and ensures they can be audited without issues arising.
  • Production and management of working group and governance materials and meetings.
  • Interface with and support the central Programme Management Office (PMO) to ensure the workstream is tracked and accurate and timely reporting, status updates and RAIDs are submitted.

Previous Experience

  • The role holder will have prior Business Analysis experience, in a Banking and/or Financial Markets environment with an understanding of large Business change projects.
  • Experience in a Global Foreign Exchange Business or Bank Treasury will be highly beneficial and is required.
  • Work experience with one of the ‘Big Four’ accounting firms would be a benefit.

Role Requirements

  • English (Fluent – Very Strong) – Meetings, communication, analysis, and documentation will be predominantly in English – MUST HAVE
  • French and/or German (Fluent) – Interaction with the French or German offices of our client is required, and certain meetings may be held in German – DESIRABLE
  • A strong communicator, both verbally and written, who is able to work with a wide variety of stakeholders from differing backgrounds and cultures.
  • A good understanding of the project lifecycle and associated terminology (Prince 2 certification is beneficial).
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Highly organised, structured, and efficient
  • Keen, hard-working, and willing to learn new skills and techniques and understand complex subject matter.
